TOWNSEND COMMENCEMENT SPEECH ONLINE
The text of Prof. David Townsend's Celebration of Academia
address at UMaine's May 13 commencement is
online here. The talk is given at each year's
commencement by UMaine's Distinguished Maine Professor, the
prestigious faculty award given by the UMaine Alumni
Association. Townsend is an oceanography professor and director
of UMaine's School of Marine Sciences.
